Mini Mini Cafe - a cute dining experience in a miniature world

Happy Thursday :)

For today's post, I would like to share about my dining experience at Mini Mini Cafe, Midvalley Megamall Kuala Lumpur. So, I took my friend, Ivy, along and we were the first customers to arrive for the day as it was quite early. (We'd arrived around 11.00 a.m so yeah).

One of the cafe's exterior and seating area.

As mentioned above, that is one of the cafe's exterior...  I mean, seating area. There are actually four seating areas in this cafe. That one above is actually at the opposite of the main seating area. The main seating area is where the food and beverages come from, including the counter. We can choose any area that we want to have our meals. For Ivy and I, we had chosen the one in the picture above.

This seating area is in between the main seating area and our seating area

This seating area is under the escalator

This cafe is actually the first of its kind here in Malaysia which gives its diners a unique dining experience with miniatures all around them. Dolls of all shapes and sizes are displayed in glass cabinets and there are also miniatures in the tables as well. For miniature enthusiasts and doll-lovers, this cafe is like a dream come true. There were some ready-stock dolls for sale so those who are interested can ask the friendly staff for help. :)

This cafe is a self-service cafe
After we sit down, the waiter/waitress will give the menu to us with an order form and a pencil. So, we have to fill in our order by filling up the form with our desired food items code.
After we have filled in the order form, give the form to the cashier at the counter and pay the food. Yes, we must pay for our food first
After payment, the cashier will give us the table number and we return to our seats.
The waiter/waitress will bring out our food when they are ready.
By the way, we must take our own cutlery and condiments from the specified counter since this is a self-service cafe. There are no service charges though ;)

*UPDATED*
Due to all the recent customers' feedback, comments and suggestions, Mini Mini Cafe will be taking your food orders directly from your table like any other normal cafe ordering service.

The Menu :)

The Order Form alongside a weekday meal promotion menu
(Since Mini Mini Cafe will be taking your food orders directly from your table,
the order form is no longer needed.)

Even the table number is cute~ Awww~
*cuteness overload*

Now... *drumroll~* let us move on the the fun part... FOOD!!!

Since this was my first time here, I was being slightly clueless with my choices. Thankfully, I did some research on the cafe's menu and I finally found what I've wanted. As for Ivy, she had chosen the weekday promotion of the day. The promotion consists of a selected main course and a free soft drink. So.. what have we ordered???

Jeng~ jeng~ jeng~!!!

A Grilled Chicken Carbonara pasta for my friend, Ivy.

Ivy said that she enjoyed the pasta. The portion was just nice for her as it was light but quite fulfilling. The grilled chicken was flavourful and juicy. The pasta was good and it was not being too drowned up by the sauce. The sauce itself was good with just the right amount of creaminess.

A Mini Trio Burger (from left to right; chicken, salmon and beef) for myself. Hahaha~!

They may look mini but these three do pack a punch. They may be a bit smaller than a normal burger but they were not that small. Hehehe

See what I mean?

All three of them were delicious. The meats were nicely cooked and they were seasoned to perfection. Even the burger buns have matched the meats nicely. My personal favourite was the salmon mini burger because the burger bun complemented the salmon, the salmon was cooked and seasoned nicely and I LOVE SALMON. Hahaha~!!! I'll definitely order this mini burger trio on my next visit. Hehehe~

Calamari rings for two buddies to share :3

I also ordered the calamari rings for me and Ivy to share. The calamari rings were deep-fried to perfection and they still had the crunch from the golden batter that coated the calamari. The dipping sauce added a nice tangy flavour to complement the crispy calamari rings.

As for drinks, I was the only one who ordered from the menu as Ivy already had her soft drink from the promotion set. After scanning through the selection of drinks, I had finally settled for my choice from the mocktail selection. FYI, mocktail is non-alcholic.

Mara Berries Iced Tea

I enjoyed this drink because I love tea and I love berries so this marks the spot. Hehehe. It was quite refreshing with the tangy and sweet berry notes that are in harmony with the tea notes. It is not too sweet, just the way I liked it.

Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience here in Mini Mini Cafe. The food is light and fulfilling and affordable and reasonably priced, the cafe ambiance is calm and inviting, the staffs are friendly and helpful and the service is very nice. This cafe is also suitable for hanging out with girlfriends for a fun girly time, cute date with a beloved, or relaxing with family after a tiring shopping spree.

I'll definitely come here again. Thank you Mini Mini Cafe for an awesome miniature dining experience.

*Side notes*
- They DO NOT serve pork or lard
- All meats come from HALAL sources
- Usually crowded during peak hours (Lunch and Dinner)

Re-introduction

Oh dear~

It seems that I've left this blog unattended for a long time... almost A YEAR... It is quite dusty *coughs*. Anyway, I was quite busy with other commitments that I kinda forgot about this blog. I'm so sorry~ *bows*

*Sorry~ Sorry~ Sorry~*

As stated in the title, this post is like a re-introduction about this blog.  Well, I love food and and this blog is to share my love of food and the places that I have been; food that I have enjoyed and maybe you'll like it too. For now, my focus will be eateries around Malaysia; hotels, cafes, restaurants, franchises, food courts and hawker stalls. As for the food and eateries, most of them will be consisted from places that are Halal, Muslim-friendly and pork-free. If anyone had any inquiries regarding the statuses of the eateries that I have been, feel free to ask the restaurants themselves and don't ask me. Whatever your opinions are, I RESPECT your opinion and I do hope that you will RESPECT mine. If you have any intention to bash me or whatever, please take your argument elsewhere since I will not be entertaining your wrath. This blog is for foodies and foodhunters and NOT for haters, bashers, close-minded people and whatever kind of negativity.

Spread the love and not hate

I guess that is all for my re-introduction for my foodie blog. See you again in the next post.
